Source status: book-authored SHJ term in They Said Time Would…
The Present Bridge is one small act of staying with yourself where the Time Loop expected an automatic protective response.
It may be a pause, a slower answer, a boundary, a sentence such as “I need more time” or the recognition that the past happened and something else is happening now. It does not deny old evidence or demand a breakthrough.
Different from: memory reconsolidation. The Present Bridge is a reader-facing practice. It is not a claim that a memory has entered a reconsolidation window or been rewritten.
