Imagination

Imagination is the capacity to form images, scenes, sensations, possibilities or meanings that are not currently present to the senses.

In the journeys, imagination gives possibility a felt shape. It can help a reader explore another pace, boundary, response or way of belonging before that experience is familiar in life.

Imagination does not make material circumstances disappear. It is a human capacity for rehearsal, meaning and creation—not a guarantee.

Different from: fantasy. Fantasy may be entered for many reasons. Imaginal practice is used here with attention and a clear relationship to the journey’s question.
