A thought is a mental event that may take the form of words, images, memories, predictions, questions or conclusions.
Thought can orient, plan and protect. It can also become persuasive through repetition or through the feeling that accompanies it. Noticing a thought as an event does not make it false; it creates room to examine what it contains and what response it deserves.
Different from: interpretation. A thought is any mental event. Interpretation is the explanatory meaning assigned to information or experience.
