Choice is the point at which more than one response becomes genuinely available.
It is not the same as having unlimited options. A person may be constrained by history, circumstance, health, money, relationship or power and still find one meaningful degree of movement inside what is real.
In the journeys, choice often begins as a pause: enough room to notice that the familiar response is not the only possible response.
Different from: preference. Preference is what you would like. Choice includes what you do, refuse or allow next.
