Body Mapping

Body mapping is the practice of marking felt sensation and intensity on an outline of the body.

The journeys use red, yellow and green as a simple visual language. A reader may mark heat, pressure, numbness, movement, openness or a place that remains difficult to name.

The map is not a diagnosis and does not tell the reader what a sensation means. Its purpose is to keep bodily information inside a reflection that the mind might otherwise carry alone.

Different from: anatomical mapping. The page records subjective experience, not medical structure.
