Desire is movement toward something wanted: a person, object, experience, condition or way of feeling.
In the journeys, desire is treated as information rather than command or embarrassment. The wanted thing may be genuine. It may also carry a state beneath the symbol—how you imagine life will feel when the thing is yours.
Different from: appetite. The words overlap, but desire often gathers story, image and future around the wanting.
