A thought loop is a repeated line of thinking that keeps returning without creating new understanding or useful movement.
It may rehearse a conversation, search for certainty, collect evidence or try to solve an emotional question through analysis alone. Repetition does not make the thought meaningless; it may show what the mind is attempting to protect.
Different from: reflection. Reflection can revisit a subject and still change shape. A loop repeats the same route.
