Emotional Hunger
Emotional hunger is the felt need for contact, care, recognition or being met.
It often becomes most confusing when the supply is partial: not absent, not enough. A little warmth can revive hope while the body remains unfed.
In this work, hunger is not a character flaw. It becomes useful information when it can be named without shame or turned automatically into pursuit.
Different from: neediness. “Needy” is often a judgement placed on the person. Hunger describes the experience asking to be understood.
