Integration is the capacity for different parts of experience to remain in relationship.
It does not require agreement. The body may signal no, the mind may see practical reasons to continue and the heart may fear loss. Integration keeps the cross-talk available long enough for a response to belong to more of the person.
Different from: resolution. A situation can remain unresolved while the person becomes less internally divided in meeting it.
