Presence

Presence is the capacity to remain available to what is happening now.

It is not a permanent state and does not require stillness. A person can be present while moving, grieving, thinking or setting a boundary. In the method, presence often means enough contact to notice the signal before the usual response becomes the whole moment.

Different from: calm. Calm may accompany presence. So may anger, alertness or uncertainty.
