Capacity

Capacity is how much contact, complexity, pleasure, feeling or choice a person can hold without losing access to too much of themselves.

It is not a fixed personal score. Capacity changes with context, support, health, stress, familiarity and practice.

The Realm of Capacity contains the final three journeys: integration, nourishing pleasure and embodied desire. Here, aliveness stops being only an idea and begins asking whether the reader’s actual life can hold it.

Different from: tolerance. Capacity is not simply enduring more. Sometimes greater capacity appears as an earlier no.
