Touch is physical contact, but its experience depends on pressure, pace, context, expectation, relationship, meaning and the body’s changing response.
Wanting touch does not guarantee the capacity to receive every touch. Consent to contact does not remove the need for ongoing sensation and choice.
In the journeys, touch becomes a conversation with yes, no, more, less, slower and not yet.
