Sensation

Sensation is the body’s immediate registration of contact or change: pressure, temperature, movement, ache, numbness, lift, contraction, openness, texture or breath.

Sensation comes before a settled explanation, though interpretation can arrive almost instantly. The journeys return to sensation because it adds information to a reflection that words might otherwise complete too quickly.

Different from: emotion. Emotion may include sensation, meaning, memory and action tendency. Sensation names the felt physical qualities themselves.
